MAIS ANORMALIDADES VINDAS DA CHINA

Cientistas chineses criam porcos verdes e fosforescentes

Pequim, 30 dez (EFE).- Quando a China se prepara para receber o Ano do Porco no calendário oriental, os cientistas do país surpreenderam ao apresentar três suínos que nasceram com partes de seu corpo verdes e capazes de brilhar na escuridão, informou hoje a imprensa estatal.

Na Universidade Nordeste de Agricultura, na cidade de Harbin, os cientistas injetaram uma proteína em embriões de porco, fazendo três deles nascerem verdes e fosforescentes.

As patas, o focinho e a língua dos animais apresentam a coloração.

A proteína foi retirada de medusas.

Segundo os autores da experiência, o resultado vai servir para estimular a pesquisa do uso de células-tronco, que a China apóia há anos. No país são raros os grupos religiosos ou ideológicos opostos aos estudos sobre o tema.

A fosforescência servirá para analisar as mudanças no organismo do porco, muito usado nos laboratórios por sua grande semelhança com o do homem. EFE abc mf
